Reward Offered In Portland Murder

The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve the June 2020 homicide of Evelin Navarro Barajas.

On June 18, 2020, at approximately 11:49 p.m., North Precinct Officers responded to the 6700 block of Northeast Killingsworth Street on reports of shots fired in the neighborhood.

Officers arrived in the area and located two people suffering from gunshot wounds. An adult male victim was transported by ambulance to a Portland area hospital with a non-life threatening injury. A female victim, later identified as 23-year-old Evelin Navarro Barajas, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy, determining that the manner and cause of death to be homicidal violence by gunshot wound.
