117 Animals Seized At Troutdale Rescue And Boarding Facility

Multnomah County Animal Control has seized more than a hundred cats and dogs from the Woofin Palooza rescue and boarding facility in Troutdale.

The Portland Police Bureau and the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office helped execute the search warrant.

After receiving numerous complaints alleging possible animal abuse or neglect, and performing an initial investigation to determine the state and condition of animals on site, Animal Control officers seized 65 cats and 52 dogs from Woofin Palooza. A forensic veterinary team from Oregon Humane Society was also on the scene to assist with medical triage of the animals. The animals — which are part of an on-going investigation — were taken into the care of Multnomah County Animal Services. Several animals are being treated by the Multnomah County Animal Services Veterinarian Team.

The case has been referred to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.
