If you are beyond ready to take your vacation and Hawaii is your destination then you'll love this news. Vaccinated travelers will soon be able to visit Hawaii with a digital vaccine passport. As of now vaccinated travelers would receive a digital code that would allow them to travel throughout the state.
The program is supposed to start on March 1st with the first participants to be fully vaccinated health care workers. Lt. Governor Josh Green says he’s hopeful that by April 1st any Hawaii resident that has been vaccinated would be able to travel inter-island.
Green added that mainland travelers could be added to the program by May 1st. Currently, visitors to Hawaii can skip the mandatory quarantine if they produce a negative COVID-19 test from a certified lab 72 hours prior to travel.
