Last year, Shedd Aquarium announced its Centennial Commitment, which aims to improve visitors’ experiences and increase the aquarium’s accessibility. Construction recently began for a new facility that will allow the aquarium’s animal care workers, veterinary staff, and conservation research teams to work together in one place instead of being spread out across the building. This will increase collaboration and accelerate the work these important people are doing. Shedd Aquarium will still be open to guests during the construction, and the aquarium’s work doesn’t end here — improvements will continue to be made in the near future!
