The Oregon State Beavers learned they had clinched an outright Pac-12 baseball championship when the announcement was made in the top of the eighth inning at Goss Stadium that Oregon had lost 10-3 at Utah.

However, the Beavers weren't about to give away their final game of the season against Washington State. No, there would be no backing in for this proud Oregon State team.

Down 6-4 entering the bottom of the eighth, OSU quickly rallied to tie the score on back-to-back home runs by Dylan Davis and Danny Hayes.

Then, with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth, Davis blooped a wind-aided double into short right field.  Hayes was intentionally passed to bring Ryan Barnes to the plate. Barnes lined a 1-0 pitch into left field, and Davis raced home from second, sliding home safely to give OSU a 7-6 win over WSU.

Oregon State (45-10, 24-6) will host a regional tournament next weekend. The Beavers will learn tomorrow morning whether it is one of the eight national seeds. If so, OSU would have home field advantage in both the regional and super-regional round of the NCAA playoffs.

ESPNU will televise the national pairings Monday at 9 a.m.
