Beaverton police officers made traffic stop on Highway 26 at NW Cornelius Pass Rd. on Saturday and found a stash of methamphetamine.

During the traffic stop the officers established probable cause that drugs might be inside the vehicle.

A police K9 was brought in and a search of the stopped vehicle showed that there was methamphetamine inside the vehicle. A complete search of the vehicle disclosed approximately seven pound of methamphetamine.

The driver was identified as Jose Ortiz-Ledezma, age 30, from Mexico. Ortiz-Ledezma was charged with possession of a controlled substance, distribution of a controlled substance, manufacturing of a controlled substance and has been lodged at the Washington County Jail.
