Sunday afternoon a car travelling at a high rate of speed lost control and hit a utility pole on SW Petes Mountain Road about a half mile north of SW Hoffman Road.  The car was crushed and the utility pole was in danger of falling.

The Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue technical response team was needed to cut the car apart, so the driver and passenger could be rescued.

One person was flown on Life Flight to a hospital, the other person was transported by ambulance.  Both people suffered life threatening injuries.
