We find the Portland skyline being violently updated with the eruption of Mount St. Helens. Touring the crater days later President Jimmy Carter said, "The moon looks like a golf course compared to what's up there."
We find a new video game, originally titled PUCK-Man. However, to prevent vandals from changing the "P" to an "F" … the name was changed to Pac-Man.
And we find “Kiss On My List” on the radio by Hall & Oates. Curiously Daryl Hall maintains that it’s not a love song. He insists that the list indicates that the woman is just another mark to be checked.
