In the time capsule today…
We find a television commercial for LifeAlert going viral with a catchphrase that would find itself on t-shirts, novelty items and more.
We find a movie in theaters filmed in Astoria, Oregon. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays an undercover cop posing as a teacher… in “Kindergarten Cop.” Director Ivan Reitman auditioned more than 2,000 children for the roles of the students.
And we find a song on the radio by Depeche Mode. It’s their third single off the album Violator. The title of the album was a joke… chosen as the most extreme, ridiculously Heavy Metal title that the band could think of.
