Carson Time Capsule... Wednesday, August 4th.

In the time capsule today…

We find Proctor and Gamble introducing a new dish soap, and Dawn soon becomes the best-selling dish-washing liquid in the US.

We find Joe Frazier nearly drowning on “The Superstars,” an ABC athletic television event. He was rescued halfway through a 50 meter race, and later admitted that he couldn't swim. When asked why he attempted the race, he answered, "How was I to know [i couldn’t swim] unless I tried?"

And we find a song on the radio by Stevie Wonder. Stevie wrote and recorded “Higher Ground” in three hours! He played all of the instruments on the track, including the drums and percussion.
