In 2018 Neil Diamond announced he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and was retiring from touring due to the onset of his disease making it "difficult to travel and perform on a large scale basis." Last night at the opening of the Neil Diamond musical "A Beautiful Noise" Neil delighted the crowd with a surprise performance from his balcony of "Sweet Caroline". The 81 year old legend still has it. Watch this short video of that surprise performance and hear the crowd really get behind him and sing along. It's the first time Neil Diamond has sung in his home town of New York since 2017.
