Hey, Portland! We have a chance to do something tangible to help the Hurricane Harvey flood victims in Houston and Southeast Texas, and it’s going to happen right here at iHeartRadio Portland this Thursday, August 31st!
We have partnered with a local construction company owner who wants to fill his truck with supplies for the flood victims and drive it to Houston this weekend. Our mission is to fill up the truck! The Houston Food Bank is currently closed because of the storm, and the local food pantries are in dire need of non-perishable food items.
Bring your non-perishable, non-breakable items to iHeartRadio Portland in Tigard this Thursday, August 31st starting at 6am. We are at 13333 SW 68th Pkwy, near the intersection of I-5 and 217. The truck will be parked in the parking lot in front of the building. We'll be here collecting items until the truck is filled!
We are working with a contact on the receiving end in Houston who will coordinate the unloading and distribution of supplies. Let’s fill the truck with food supplies for the people of Houston and let them know that Portland is with them, and we are here to help!
